About
What StowNear is
StowNear answers a practical question: can you leave a bag at a particular UK railway station, and if not, what is nearby that has published a price and opening hours?
Staffed left luggage is now unusual. Network Rail’s property site says it is available at 14 managed stations. The names printed on that page are London Bridge, Charing Cross, Euston, King’s Cross, Liverpool Street, Victoria, Waterloo, Birmingham New Street, Leeds, Liverpool Lime Street, Manchester Piccadilly, Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Central. Excess Baggage, which runs the desks, also lists stores at London Paddington and London St Pancras International. Train-operator facility pages say “Left luggage: No” at most other stations. This site does not treat a missing price as zero, and it does not copy a London tariff onto a different city.
Each station is one JSON file, rendered by the same template. A page is republished only after the sources in that file have been read again. The “last checked” date is that read, not the day the file was created. Where a figure could not be confirmed, the page says so and tells you to check before you travel.
StowNear is a placeholder brand. It is not Network Rail, National Rail, a train operator, or any luggage company. The name, and the site address used for canonical links, live in one config file.
Bounce and Stasher both run referral programmes at 10% commission. Those programmes are not joined yet. Outbound booking links already go through one config, with placeholder referral parameters, so the codes can be swapped without editing station pages. See the affiliate disclosure for how those links are marked.
